"A Fighter's Heart"

Postby Davinho » Fri Mar 27, 2009 10:11 pm

Touched on this in another post but this book by Sam Sheridan is worth a gander if you are into the "manly arts" yeah sorry about that little bit of misogyny. The story is his ultimate goal to be a better MMA fighter and he looks into a lot of different arts from taking a Muay Thai training camp in Thailand, to training for a pro boxing fight, to taking up Tai Chi. It certainly gave me a different perspective on MMA which I was never a fan of but always respected.

 I'm reading this at the moment, my mate lent it to me before he went off to thailand to train at a Muay Thai camp...I read the first chapter and realised that's quite clearly where the idea came from!

It is really good so far, would recommend it too!

Did you see the boxer (Andre Ward) he trained with in that book beat Mikkel Kessler last night in the "Super Six Tourny". Nice work fella.
